Journey into the history of the Gypsy Cob

The Gypsy Cob originated as a companion to Travelers. It had to be strong enough to pull a wagon filled with goods and gentle enough to be raised along side a family. The primary breeds that made up the Cob were Shire, Clydesdale and Dales Pony. Making an animal that was sound minded, trustworthy and very versatile. These animals are woven into the fabric of farmers in Ireland still to this day
